Opening Day at Indiana Grand

Today is opening day at Indiana Grand. We hope to win 25 to 30 races and a million dollars in purse money for the stable. We have hit the million here once before in 2013 so if we have some luck and a new horse or two it wouldn’t hurt at all!

We do have some 2 Year Olds available if someone wants to buy into a horse. They are currently training and progressing nicely.

MISTER POLLARD EARNS TOP HONOR

Last night we attended the Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association awards banquet and came home with three honors. MISTER POLLARD was named Champion 3 Year Old Colt Indiana Bred 2014 and Indiana Horse of The Year 2014! Not only did we all have a great time racing MISTER POLLARD last year, we have also received these very special awards. We also took home an award for SWEET SUMMER (Mister Pollard’s mother) for Indiana Broodmare of the Year 2014. Falcon Racing representatives Michael Johnson and Tony Medley were able to attend and enjoy the moment as well. Indiana Racing opens on Tuesday, April 21st and we are all looking forward to a successful meet.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! It is a beautiful morning here. Calm, 35 degrees, frost on the daffodils and the buds on the trees are just emerging. We had a woodpecker out working on a tree just after dawn. After our 7+ inches of rain, everything will turn green here. We have never seen so much water in such a short period of time. Between the 18 inches of snow last month and all of this rain, we are quite saturated.

There was also a full moon last night and the KENTUCKY WILDCATS lost. So there are plenty of tickets in Indianapolis for Monday Nights game. This means the big ten could possibly also win the basketball tournament, like it did the football tournament.
