The first race at Churchill today was a match race and it wasn’t SWAPS vs. NASHUA. See the chart.

Wishing a very Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful mothers! Penny and I both had great ones!
My pick is California Chrome because they have a great story. They bought the mare for $8000.00 and some body commented that only a dumb ass would have bought that mare. That is why they have a jackass on the back of their silks. Last week they turned down $6.1 million for 51%.
I also like Medal Count, Samraat and Wicked Strong in no particular order.
Go Deep
Good Luck to all.

Easter Baby- quite the poser!
We had a big week in the maternity ward here. Friday we found a new baby fish in our backyard pond. We know who the mother is, but not sure about the father. We have had four fish in there for years and now we have this new addition. We also had two new foals on Easter Day. One in the early morning hours and one just under the deadline of the end of the day. The final and most important was the birth of our first grandchild who was born late Monday night. Our oldest daughter Elizabeth and her husband Luke are the proud parents of a little boy. He has been named Truman Michael Sharrett and weighed in at 6 pounds 7.8 ounces. We must not forget the new baby chicks that our youngest daughter Abby is “mothering”. We will let you know how that project goes.
Churchill Opens on Saturday with the night card. Louisville is getting crazy and the Derby is on the count down.
