SCATMAN places in the Grade II $500,000 Rebel!
Scatman had a good race (not a great race) and finished 3rd in the THE REBEL GII, $500,000 on Saturday at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas for owners JEOG LLC (Jim and Ellen O’Grady). It was a great day with the attending crowd over 31,000. That is a big change to other tracks that get 3,000 a day. For a few moments, it looked like he may be able to win it all. Exciting and disappointing at the same time. He came out of the race in good shape. He now has $100,000 in Graded earnings (in case you are keeping track). Congrats to the O’Gradys!

Daily Racing Form………….By Marty McGee
Hope this isn’t the highlight of the “15 minutes”, but Marty McGee of the daily racing form has written a little article in the mid section of the Saturday Daily Racing Form about Mike. You know, the section that makes you pay $1.00 more for a Saturday form. Nice article. Mike had lunch with Marty last week when he was in Louisville. He has know Marty for over 25 years.

PURSES INCREASE AGAIN AT OAKLAWN
Oaklawn Park is increasing purse money again. They are awarding $1500.00 per horse per race in purse money for those finishing in 1st through 4th place. Each race must have a field of 8 or more horses to qualify for this incentive.
